I don't know if other people do. I know that some people have a lot of nostalgia for the game, but to me, it was not fun.
I mean, it should have been fun. You get to drive a tank! You get to shoot things! But it wasn't. The constant mode switches drove me nuts, and the entire game felt like a disasterous maze. I never felt like I had any idea where I was going. I never felt like I was heading in the right direction. In short, I constantly felt frustrated -- and that was even though I was following a guide.
The controls are okay, though a bit janky at times. The tank is a fun vehicle -- and if I could stay in it for most of the game, I could imagine it being amore fun run-and-gun platformer for me. But mostly what I did was spend 50% of my time wondering where the hell I was and where I was going, and the other 50% of time failing to do it.
Add in the need for backtracking -- built into the game, with no possibility otherwise -- with no real direction given? No thanks.
I'm sure for some people, Blaster Master is an enjoyable game. But for me: It isn't.
